The COVID-19 CovidSim microsimulation model developed by the MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis hosted at Imperial College, London is now available as open source (GPL 3) at Github.

CovidSim models the transmission dynamics and severity of COVID-19 infections throughout a spatially and socially structured population over time. It enables modelling of how intervention policies and healthcare provision affect the spread of COVID-19. With parameter changes, it can be used to model other respiratory viruses, such as influenza.

The version 1.1 is also available online at http://covidsim.eu/

Details of the Sim is reported in a pre-print paper at MedRXiv entitled, 'Modelling the Potential Health Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on a Hypothetical European Country'
