Contrary to the initial hypothesis that ACE-inhibitors may increase the risk of severe COVID-19 infection, a small study with a cohort of 205 acute COVID-19 patients was shown to be associated with lower severity of COVID-19 and outcomes, reports a pre-print, non-peer-reviewed article published on medrxiv, titled, 'Treatment with ACE-inhibitors is associated with less severe disease with SARS-Covid-19 infection in a multi-site UK acute Hospital Trust'.
