A pre-print paper summarised the pharmacology of Hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin as early treatment options in management of COVID-19, safety, toxicity and possible drug-drug interactions information based on available evidence.
The article also briefly describes the possible mechanisms of action of the two drugs, their pharmacokinetics, pharmacological considerations for their combination, cardiac toxicity and other ADR potentials, drug-drug interaction with other concomitant treatments as well as contra-indications, etc.
